Fragments of bricks and building stones, waste products of concrete, glass, acrylic glass, chalk, polystyrene are the primary source material of Reiner Seliger´s work. The fractionaries, whose vulnerability and transience are still to be read at its rough edges and surfaces, are transformed into architectural sculptural works and thereby revived.
Materiality and form are generating a strong physical presence, but over and above that, Reiner Seliger succeeds in creating an aesthetic reality beyond the materiality.
